Our Vision: A thriving Clatsop County committed to building resilience in children, families and communities.
Our Mission: Build capacity across sectors and within the community to adopt trauma informed practices, increase protective factors and prevent and heal childhood trauma in children, families and communities.
What does the network do?
- Implement trauma informed and resilience-building strategies and promote the adoption of trauma informed care across sectors and services.
- Facilitate the integration and coordination of trauma informed care across systems and organizations in our community.
- Work across sectors to bring together trauma informed care and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) champions from the community.
- Raise awareness and understanding of ACEs, trauma informed practices and resilience-building efforts across systems and organizations throughout the county.
- Develop a common understanding of the way in which trauma, chronic stress and adversity affect brain development, individual behaviors and children’s capacity to learn.
